Raffa signature facial...Thoroughly cleans and nourishes to promote clear, well hydrated skin. This customized facial begins with a thorough cleanse followed by a skin analysis. Next we steam and exfoliated the skin. Extractions are performed if needed. A facial massage incorporating three different types of movement is performed using effleurage, petrissage and tapotement. A soothing and nourishing mask is applied, that is made from all natural ingredients. The mask is removed and the skin is moisturized. Everyone loves the Raffa signature facial. Neuromuscular Therapy is a comprehensive program of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the central nervous system (brain, spinal column and nerves) with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. NMT is based on neurological laws that explain how the central nervous system maintains homeostatic balance. These same laws dictate how the central nervous system initiates pain response.

Based on the work of Ida P. Rolf, Structural Integration is a somatic practice utilizing fascial manipulation, awareness, and movement education. It is practiced in an organized series of sessions and individual sessions within a framework designed to restore postural balance and functional ease by aligning and integrating the body in gravity. All types of people have benefited from Structural Integration. Some come to ease chronic pain and stress; others are hoping to improve their athletic performance. Welcome to Urban Sweat, where Old World Wisdom meets New World self care. We've painstakingly created a paradise for you to unwind, relax and breathe your worries away. We feature 12 therapeutic massage and treatment rooms and 6 heat therapy rooms to foster and encourage your health and well being. Therapeutic massage is not a luxury, but as a healthy necessity, so we've priced our monthly massage memberships accordingly. Also, our therapists are licensed in Rhode Island and are nationally certified to ensure the quality.
Urban Sweat is open from 10AM to 7PM, seven days a week. Please check the schedule for holiday closings. You will be provided with relaxation wear, towel and locker.
For added comfort in Urban Sweat, please bring a bathing suit for use in steam room. We are a barefoot facility but you are welcome to bring flip flops but please know they can’t be used in saunas or steam rooms. Shower products or hairdryers are not provided. Thursday is Ladies Day!
